Tips to visit Berlin
Berlin is a city full of surprises and quirks. First off, if you’re talking about the locals, they’re called Berliners. When greeting someone, a simple “Hallo” or “Hi” works just fine.
German is the main language, but you’ll hear a lot of English, especially in touristy areas and among younger folks. People in Berlin usually eat lunch around 12-2 PM and dinner from 6-8 PM.
Shops and businesses are generally open from 10 AM to 8 PM, though smaller shops might close earlier. Tipping is common, but not mandatory—leaving around 5-10% is a nice gesture.
