Tips to visit Medellin

Medellín is a city with a unique charm and friendly locals called “Paisas.” When you’re meeting people, a casual “Hola” or “¿Cómo estás?” is the way to go.

Spanish is the main language spoken, but you’ll find some folks who understand English, especially in touristy areas. People usually eat lunch around 12-1 PM and dinner from 7-9 PM. Business hours are typically from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.

Tipping is customary, and around 10% is appreciated. The healthcare system includes both public and private options, with private facilities being popular for their faster service.
